Writing Unit 6: About me and my view of the world

My name is Pol Molera and I'm a student in Casa Nostra in Banyoles. I'm interested in basketball and tennis.  Some of my friends are into tennis too. The people who I spend most time with are my family and my friends. The thing which I like best is talk with the friends on the lake.

I don't  think that the world is a bad place, because there are a lot of wars and there are hungry and a lot of people who steel. There aren't many things that make me angry but one thing is the persons who steel . 

As far as the future is concerned, it sometimes worries me that we won't have peace. I'm fairly optimistic about my future and I will be a good empresary. 

Writing Unit 8: About an experience

About an experience:

This time last year, things weren't going to well for me. I'd failed my last exams at school and I need to recuperate 4 subjects. My friends invited me to go out but I couldn't because I need to study for the recuperations. I spent 3 days studying a lot.

Everything changed me the last day of study . I was a bit nervous for the exams but I tought that the exams needs to be good and I don't want to go to the recuperations on September. For that reason I study harder and I went to bed. The next day start with the exams and they went good for me.

Finally at summer I went to school and they said to me that I didn't fail any of the 4 exams that I did . I was very happy in that moment because I didn't need to study on summer. These days I feel much happier because if I fail in september now in 4^th of ESO I need to recuperate that subjects. 

Writing 10 Summary Gladiator

In AD the General Maximus leads the battle against Germanic tribes and wins the battle. The emperor Marcus Aurelius is too old and he is already dying, his son Commodus wants to become the new emperor, but Marcus Aurelius prefers that Maximus became the leader of Rome (emperor. But Commodus kills his father and becomes the emperor. Maximus is sent to Spain and they try to kill him. They can't kill him but they kill his familiy. After that a slave caravan captures him and he is taken to Zucchabar in Africa.  There he is solt to Proximo who uses him as a gladiator. Maximuss wins all the battles because he has more skills than others and he goes to the Coloseum to fight against the better fighters. There Maximus fights to win the freedom but the emperor Commodus tries to kill him . At the end of the film Maximus fights against Commodus and he wins but he dies too. 

SUMMER HOLIDAYS

MY LAST SUMMER HOLIDAYS: 

Hi my name is Pol and now I'm going to talk about my last summer holydays. First I'm going to talk about Platja d'Aro. Second I'm going to talk about Normandy and finally I prepared for school.

Platja d'Aro:

I stayed 3 weeks in Plata d'Aro. In the morning I went to the. I ate in my grandparents house. In the afternoon I returned to the beach and after that I went to the cinema or play basketball and I had dinner in the restaurants.

Normandia:

I went to Saint Lo in Normandy in France one week, because my brother played horseball there with the Spanish selection. There I visited the museum of the Second World War. It was enormous and there was a lot of important things like weapons, maps, radios, tanks and planes. I saw all of my brother’s matches but in the final Spain was in the 2nd position. The 1th position was for France because they had the best team. It was a hard return because we come to Banyoles on 7 in the morning and we arrived in Banyoles at 6 o'clock in the afternoon to see the FCB match.

Prepare for school:

Finally I stayed in Banyoles to prepare for school. I bought all the school material and I finished the summer school books. I started the basketball training and I met with my friends in the tennis or in Banyoles.  

My trip to ITALY!

Hi my name is Pol and today I’m going to talk about Italy.

The first day we caught a bus and we went to the airport of Girona and we took off at 6 a.m. We landed in the airport of Pisa. There we visited the tower, the cathedral and the baptistery. The tower was the favourite for me. At the afternoon we caught a bus and we went to Florence.

On the second day we visited Florence. At the morning we visited the Art Gallery of the Uffizi and in the afternoon we visited the Doom.

On the third day we went by train to Rome. We saw the famous building called Santa Maria of Aracoeli. We visited the Pantheon of Rome too.

On the fourth day we visited the city of the Vatican, the museum of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel that it was enormous and very colourful. After that we visited the Saint Peter Square and we had a lot of free time. At night we visited the Fountain of Trevi.

On the last day we visited the Coliseum and in the afternoon we caught the plane and we landed in Barcelona then we caught a bus and we arrive at 1 a.m at school. 

Writing Unit 7: Write an essay

Topic: School on Saturday mornings in order to improve the level of education.

The government plans to introduce in our country school on Saturday mornings in order to improve the level of education and I think that it'll have negative consequences for the students is bad because we don't want to do school on Saturday. 

In the first place, I think that it is a bad idea because we're already doing a lot of hours on the week and at the weekend if we did another morning class will be more boring and heavy to support that morning. In the second place I don't think that with one morning more the level of education will improve. Maybe all the week doing class at school  will improve because we will do more hours  and more homework.

In my opinion I wo'nt change the education and I will leave class like now without doing class on Saturday mornings.

Writing Unit 5: THE STORY OF CONVERSE

Converse got their name because the name of the creator was Marquis Converse in the 1908. The company was founded in the USA in Massachusetts in the city of Malden in 1908. The company wasn't good making sports shoes. The first shoe was produced with rubber and a product called ''canvas''. But in 1929s the company produced a special shoe for basketball and it was promoted  by lots of basketball players.

Converse became more popular when the company was the oficial NBA shoe. But not all the basketball players wear that shoe, the artists and musicians wear that too. 

These days, converse is not as popular as before. But when the company sold Converse to Nike , the famous producer of shoes, in 2003 it returns to be popular again. When the Converse sold the incredible number of 950 milion of pairs sold in 2008.

Writing Unit 4: Plans for a visit

Hi, James

I'm just writing to check that everything's OK for your visit.

I think you will love Banyoles. On Saturday morning we're going to visit the most important places of the city of Banyoles Lake. In the afternoon if you like running we can go to Puig Clarà and run there with my parents. The view of that site is spectacular. It is up to you.

On Sunday, we could visit the important church of Santa Maria and visit the old city too. And in the morning we can relax in the Draga.

We're going to meet you at the airport of Girona, so can you remind me what time your plane gets in.

Writing Unit 1: Account of a decade

The decade of 2000-2010 was a decade that people will remember for many reasons.

There were tragic events like the death of Juan Pablo II and the tragic terrorist attack in USA called the 11 of September when a group of terrorists attacks the World Trade Center. But positive events happened like Barack Obama was the first black man to be a president of the USA.

In the world of music there were a lot of pop artists and rock artists’ who  makes concerts in all over the world like AC/DC . The films were the Twilight Saga and shows like Pa Negra,a very good Catalan film.

By the end of the decade, there were a lot of inventions the important for me was the Ipod the first music portable gadget .You can listen music using your earpods in where you want. Youtube(2006) appears and the Iphone(2007) too. Youtube is a web where you can share videos with other people. And the Iphone was the best mobile created and with internet called 3g. You can surf internet whenever you want.
